Vmp (voltage at maximum power) and Imp (current at maximum power) are the operating voltage and current at the module’s peak power point under Standard Test Conditions. Multiplying them gives the rated wattage (Pmax = Vmp × Imp).
Efficiency is the rated power divided by the module area times the 1000 W/m² reference irradiance, expressed as a percentage. Higher efficiency means more watts per square metre — important when roof area is limited.
PERC is a widely deployed p-type silicon technology with strong bankability. TOPCon is an n-type upgrade delivering higher efficiency and better low-light and temperature behaviour. HJT (heterojunction) is a premium high-efficiency technology with a very low temperature coefficient and strong bifacial gains.
Keep the temperature-corrected string Voc below the inverter’s maximum DC input voltage, keep the string Vmp inside the MPPT window across the expected temperature range, and size conductors and fusing against Isc with the standard 1.25× safety factor.
